This last new Moon of 2011 is conjunct Pluto, which gives you laser-like focus that you'll be able to use to your benefit -- as long as you don't cross the line into obsession. Right now, you have a good sense of where you want to go and what you want to achieve. Still, flexibility counts, so be open to tweaking your plans. With fortunate Jupiter in money-making Taurus trine this new Moon, someone out there is willing to back your efforts as long as you demonstrate your effectiveness. (Just watch for the Uranus square, which promises a few surprises along the way.) More than anything be sure to use this time to pour your energy into your plans for the future. You'll be amazed by what you can achieve!

Sagittarians are known as the "favorites of the gods" for good reason: These folks are famous for their generosity, humor and optimism, as well as their ability to see the best is every situation, no matter how dire the circumstances. A Sagittarius will find a real reason to celebrate each and every day, something due in no small part to Jupiter, this sign's planetary ruler that's best known for benevolence. Of course, the other side of this coin is excess and extravagance, so in addition to knowing how to laugh -- and how to make others laugh -- Sagittarians are also experts at overdoing everything. At the same time, if a Sag has to be restricted to just one of anything, it better be the most impressive of its kind!
Sagittarians are also famous for their love of travel and philosophy -- these people crave knowledge and will spare no effort to satisfy their innate curiosity. Full Moon Lunar Eclipse/ December 10 @ 19 Gemini 9:36 AM EST

Dec 10 delivers the final lunar eclipse of the year. An average year will have a total of four eclipses; we’ve had six this year (four lunar, two solar.) No wonder we have had such an intense year.

The lunar eclipse of Dec 10 is particularly hot-wired. This is due to the trigger Uranus which stations direct and ends a five month retrograde cycle, on just before midnight PST on Dec 9. Expect circumstances to accelerate and intensify. Eruptions and disruptions are to be expected. The European Union is expected to meet to discuss unification measures, Dec 9. Egyptians may hear the results of recent elections. Syria and the growing situation between England and Iran are currently building steam. The daily news continues to churn out big headlines.

A full moon polarizes and illuminates. Occurring across the Gemini/Sagittarius axis, this lunar eclipse brings communications to a critical peak. Are we saying one thing and demonstrating something else? Are we speaking the same language? How do we get on the same page? Among the possible issues for this eclipse: the many against the one; compromising tomorrow for today; going the distance, too many opinions or variables, how to keep everyone on board and happy. Also on topic: currency measures and money exchanges, religious differences, alienation, isolation, language barriers, immigration, import/export, travel, transport, social networks, the media.

Mars in Virgo and Ceres in Pisces also flavour this eclipse. Mars in Virgo suggests a major complaint can be that of “not enough and not fast enough”. When Mars is in Virgo, more fixing, improving and refining becomes necessary. Positively, Mars in Virgo intensifies the drive to keep plugging away for better solutions. Head-on and with both feet on the ground is the only way to face the moment. It speeds the way to correction.

The influence of Ceres in Pisces suggests we are all in it together. No one is immune. Nothing remains in isolation. Collective consciousness is a lively breeding pool now. Will there be more disillusionment, confusion, and loss, or will resurrected hope find its safe harbour? In its positive application, Ceres in Pisces can be unifying and operate as merger or synthesis point for the eclipse. It offers a potential for currently polarized worlds or differing viewpoints to live side by side, to put aside differences long enough to find a workable and productive accord.

The Full Moon is always the alignment of the Sun and Moon in opposite Zodiac signs. The lunar eclipse happens when the Earth is smack dab in the middle, altering how the Moon reflects the solar light. Eclipses come in pairs, and usually come every six months, as that's when the Moon's orbit hits the ecliptic.
There's a mysterious, underworld quality to the lunar eclipse. The Moon turns orangey or blood red, because of the shorter wavelengths being filtered through the Earth's atmosphere. This frightened people in earlier times, as the cool lunar surface turned a malevolent red. Some cultures believed the Moon was swallowed by a three-legged toad (China) or a jaguar (Maya), and was a herald of demonic or destructive energies afoot. They shouted, clanged pots and pans, and banged drums to dispel the dark spirits lurking around.

What does it bring? Since full Moon's are a time of illumination, the lunar eclipse momentarily throws up shadows of darkness. And often it's the shadows of the "unlived life," buried potential, being brought to the surface. It's a bit like the rich void of the New Moon, where you're in touch with a well of psychic material. It can be disorienting, as your feet are often leaving the ground of the known!
If you've been living in a fantasy world, you're knocked back to earth. It can be destabilizing and rock the foundations. You are forced to be fully present to some event. You may get shattering news. It takes awhile to fully understand what's happening, and to find your footing again. Sometimes the events of the eclipse are worked out over a long period, say six months.

Full Moons are times of super high energy, and surging emotion across the spectrum. The eclipse intensifies the sense of being overwhelmed, and events are experienced in vivid color. You'll get this hit in the house in which the eclipse is taking place. It also loosens the moorings of any planet it touches. You're in the rapid transformation chute, and clues to how it'll manifest come from the Zodiac sign of the Sun and Moon at the time. Eclipses liberate us from the status quo, and get things moving. It's a time to trust, though the outcome may be uncertain, that all things work toward progress in the end.
Mercury retrograde ends on 12/13 at 8:43 PM, but new projects will launch more powerfully after the New Moon on 12/24.


The extra energy required to keep relationship and money issues in balance Dec. 15-24 will be worth the effort!

December Planetary Forecast

The transiting planets may not physically warm you up this time of year, but during these first few days of December, they'll certainly find ways to get you fired up!
December will begin with eclipse energy vibrating and three planets in retrograde, including Mercury. But, by the time this month ends and 2012 begins, all planets will be moving forward and life will be approaching normalcy. Luckily, the eclipses will be over and Mercury will turn direct before the holidays. Family gatherings and holiday travel should go much better than years past.

People may be rather pushy as December begins with Venus and Pluto going insane, and the Sun and Mars battling. Then, as their energy begins to slow down, Mercury, Venus, and Mars will begin another drama for the weekend of December 3rd.  Don’t force any issues, and postpone any major decisions until the Moon enters Taurus on Tuesday morning, December 6th.

New Moon Solar Eclipse on November 25 at 1:10 am

This New Moon is a newsworthy Solar Eclipse at 2 degrees Sagittarius which comes on the heels of a fresh Mercury Retrograde (November 23 - December 13) which begins the night before.


Patience, patience, patience. Why? Because with a Mercury retrograde period and a solar eclipse occurring practically right on top of each other this week, you're going to need to take some long, deep breaths!
This solar eclipse and the following lunar eclipse of December 10 are best discussed through the Sagittarius/Gemini axis. Kabbalah teaches that the higher lesson of Sagittarius is to overcome the indecision of Gemini; in short, what it means is: to define your aims and accomplish them.

Typically, Mercury retrograde time periods are not good times to make headway, but, as combined with this eclipse cycle, the key phrase is - "Turning Point." Neither the eclipse nor retrograde are reasons to hold back. Some more important words are: justice, integrity, and truth.
Mars trine Pluto and the Sun trine Uranus in the dark moon of November 23rd provide comfort and assure us that the bold actions we take during this time will prove fruitful and supportive. And, Venus trine Jupiter on Sunday the 23rd also lends grace.

Sagittarius is about fusion without necessarily knowing how it happens. Dots get connected, and what you're aware of fuses into a focused intention. Full Moon in Taurus

The Full Moon is on November 10th at 3:17 PM EST. Meditation is very powerful on any Full Moon but this one has special significance; Mars (god of war) is preparing to leave Leo, will be the next planet crossed by the Moon, and makes an aspect to every planet from Jupiter to Pluto. This indicates that collectively, our manner of expression is shifting from being ego trapped to being utility based. If you have ever felt that what you do makes no difference to the rest of the world, this is the moment to abandon this illusion. Your actions have a noticeable impact on everyone else.

The Sun crosses into Sagittarius at 11:08 AM EST on November 22nd. This is a most interesting Solar Month. The Sun is Trine Uranus (god of freedom) and the Moon is just completing a Conjunction to Saturn (responsibility). This would suggest that the way to a fulfilling future is to be brave and innovate. Overcoming fear and inertia will be necessary as these are the primary psychological obstacles attempting to block the rapidly unfolding pattern of unique events in our lives. As the Sun separates from the Square of Neptune (god of faith) and applies to the Square of Mars (god of fire), we are energized to take the next step in the evolution of our consciousness. Mars (energy) applies to the Trine of Pluto (collective unconscious)….these gods are in earth signs. Earth is practical; there is a revolution going on, will you join us?
Just one day after Neptune's turnabout, Chiron turns direct at 0°38' Pisces. This is a great time to focus on the healing and resolution of any old wounds you've been working with, especially during the last five months or so, and to move forward with new energy to give or receive mentoring and/or healing. Scorpios are the most intense, profound, powerful characters in the zodiac. Even when they appear self-controlled and calm there is a seething intensity of emotional energy under the placid exterior. They are like the volcano not far under the surface of a calm sea, it may burst into eruption at any moment. But those of us who are particularly perceptive will be aware of the harnessed aggression, the immense forcefulness, magnetic intensity, and often strangely hypnotic personality under the tranquil, but watchful composure of Scorpio. In conventional social gatherings they are pleasant to be with, thoughtful in conversation, dignified, and reserved, yet affable and courteous; they sometimes possess penetrating eyes which make their shyer companions feel naked and defenseless before them.
In their everyday behavior they give the appearance of being withdrawn from the center of activity, yet those who know them will recognize the watchfulness that is part of their character. They need great self-discipline, because they are able to recognize the qualities in themselves that make them different from other humans, and to know their utterly conventional natures can be used for great good, or great evil. Their tenacity and willpower are immense, their depth of character and passionate conviction overwhelming, yet they are deeply sensitive and easily moved by their emotions.
Their sensitivity, together with a propensity for extreme likes and dislikes make them easily hurt, quick to detect insult or injury to themselves (often when none is intended) and easily aroused to ferocious anger. This may express itself in such destructive speech or action that they make lifelong enemies by their outspokenness, for they find it difficult not to be overly critical of anything or anyone to whom they take a dislike.
They can harness their abundant energy constructively, tempering their self-confidence with shrewdness and their ambition with magnanimity toward others provided they like them. They relate to fellow workers only as leaders and can be blunt to those they dislike to the point of cruelty. In fact they are not above expressing vindictiveness in deliberate cruelty. They are too demanding, too unforgiving of faults in others, perhaps because they are not aware of the shortcomings within themselves, and extravagantly express their self-disgust in unreasonable resentment against their fellows. They do, however, make excellent friends, provided that their companions do nothing to impugn the honor of which Scorpios are very jealous. Part of the negative side of the Scorpio nature is a tendency to discard friends once they cease to be useful, but the decent native is aware of, and fights this tendency.
They are fortunate in that their strong reasoning powers are tempered with imagination and intuition, and these gifts, together with critical perception and analytical capacity, can enable the Scorpions to penetrate to profundities beyond the average. They have a better chance of becoming geniuses than the natives of any other sign.But charismatic "twice-born" characters such as they can sink into the extremes of depravity if they take the wrong path, and the intensity of their nature exaggerates their harmful tendencies into vices far greater than the normal.
Rebelliousness against all conventions, political extremism to the point where hatred of the Establishment makes them utterly unscrupulous terrorists. Brooding resentment, aggressive and sadistic brutality, total arrogance, morbid jealousy, extreme volatility of temperament, these are some of their vices. At the other extreme is the procrastinator, the man or woman who is capable of so much that they do nothing and become indolent and self-indulgent, requiring extravagant praise and flattery from those whom they make their cronies.
Being so gifted, they can find fulfillment in many employments. Their inner intensity can result in the ice-cold self-control and detachment of the surgeon, the concentration of the research scientist, and the heroism of the soldier. Any profession in which analysis, investigation, research, dealing with practicalities, and the solving of mysteries are relevant, can appeal to them.

So police and detective work, espionage and counterespionage, the law, physics or psychology may attract them, and they can become masters of the written and spoken word. They may be most persuasive orators and find fulfillment as diplomats or preachers and, if they make the Church their profession, their inner intensity can express itself in the spiritual fervor of the mystic or the thaumaturgy.
Scorpio is the symbol of sex and Scorpios are passionate lovers, the most sensually energetic of all the signs. For them, union with the beloved is a sacrament, an "outward and visible sign of an inward and spirituall grace.". Their overriding urge in loving is to use their power to penetrate beyond themselves and to lose themselves sexually in their partners in an almost mystical ecstasy, thus discovering the meaning of that union which is greater than individuality, and is a marriage of the spirit as well as of flesh.

They are thus capable of the greatest heights of passionate transport, but debauchery and perversion are always dangers, and Scorpios can become sadistic monsters of sensuality and eroticism. Their feelings are so intense that even when their love is of the highest, and most idealistic kind, they are nevertheless frequently protagonists in tragic, even violent romances, "star-crossed lovers".
Possible Health Concerns...
Scorpio governs the pelvis and reproductive and urinary systems and its subjects are said to be prone to ailments of the liver and kidneys, stones and gravel in the bladder or genitals, and other genital ills such as priapism. Abscesses, boils, carbuncles, fistulas, piles, ruptures and ulcers may also affect the Scorpions.
