Lunar Eclipse Jun 15 - 8:13 pm Sagittarius 24°

Welcome to eclipse season! And it looks to be a doozy. The June 1 partial solar eclipse in jumpy Gemini (2:03 p.m. PDT) gets things going, followed by a total lunar eclipse in Sagittarius on June 15 and another partial solar eclipse in Cancer on July 1. Eclipses are known for bringing abrupt change, especially when they hit sensitive points in your chart (for example, the June 1 eclipse activates my Ascendant, point of physical self and location).
Does something in your life need dramatic improvement? Since eclipses break through stagnant patterns, now's the time to align with the incoming energies and make a change. Gemini promotes rapid-fire learning. Though this mental air sign tends to be all over the place, a stabilizing trine from Saturn in Libra to the June 1 New Moon eclipse helps to ground our visions so they can take flight.
If we stay focused, we can ride these energies like a hawk navigating strong winds. However, because the Sun (masculine impulse) is eclipsed by the Moon (feminine intuition) at the June 1 New Moon, we may feel as if we're flying blind. This sensation is intensified by Neptune (dreaminess) turning retrograde in square to Mercury (the mind) on June 2. We may doubt our direction or second-guess ourselves. Yet Saturn's trine to the Sun and Moon says: Trust your intuition, take action and things will work out--even if unpredictably.

A solar eclipse is a way for the universe to tell you to buckle down and pull certain aspects of your life together. As if on cue, on June 1, you'll feel the power of a solar eclipse in Gemini, indicating that there's no time like the present to escape from a rut!
The key here is that transformation will only come about if you put forth effort. Maybe you have a great idea that will take some work to implement. Perhaps you need to de-stress your life by learning to say "no" to more work. Or maybe you just need to make a fairly basic change, such as improving your health by biking or walking instead of driving. Whatever you do, it may be difficult at first, but you'll reap the rewards soon!
Full Moons remind us how crucial it is to strike a balance in our lives. This month's full Moon takes the form of a powerful lunar eclipse -- and finding balance could not be more vital!
On June 14, the Gemini Sun opposes the Sagittarius Moon, an aspect that forms the first of two consecutive lunar eclipses. This month, the focus will be on the scale of your experiences: Gemini loves bits of trivia and gossip, while Sagittarius goes big and longs for great adventures!
Merging the dual influences of Gemini and Sagittarius won't be easy, and you may be tempted to think that you have to choose one or the other. However, with your heart pulling in one direction and your mind pulling in another, choosing between the two could present difficulty. The key? Keep an eye on everyday details and communications while still thinking and planning on a broad scale.
Do be mindful of the small things ... but don't let yourself become bogged down or led astray by them. At the same time, dream big ... just don't let your imagination get too carried away. You'll discover that balance is not only possible, but also the most satisfying and rewarding outcome of all!
As you work to attain balance in your life, you'll need to recognize any imbalances that may be throwing off your equilibrium. Astrology is an excellent way to discover how planetary alignments at the time of your birth created excesses and deficiencies in your life. Armed with this knowledge, you'll be able to tackle any lunar eclipse in stride!

The Sabian Symbol for this lunar eclipse is Sagittarius 25:

A Chubby Little Rich Boy Rides Upon A Hobbyhorse. This Symbol speaks about taking time to have hobbies, to be indulging in what sets your heart on fire, what gets you going, something that can have you waking up in the morning eager to do something that you love. If you don't have this in your life, or you don't give yourself enough time to be doing what you want to be doing, or you ignore the promptings of your creative self, perhaps you need to set some time aside to just do what YOU want, rather than feeling duty bound to do what others expect of you. Of course, we have to do what is expected in life, that is a natural outcome of being on this planet, however, if we're not satisfying our natural curiosity, creativity or talents, we can find ourselves wondering when we're going to get around to doing it. This eclipse seems to be suggesting that the time is NOW. The following is some of the keywords and cautions for this degree:
Keywords:Hobbies and their pleasures. Unrestrained, imaginative play that can lead to truly wonderful creations, physically, emotionally and spiritually. Protected practice.

Having to have one’s sexual needs fulfilled before one loses energy. Exercise, doing something because one can. Constantly going off on distracting schemes. Boys and their toys. Unrestrained passion.

The Caution: Someone spoilt and shallow. Feeling that one can take on anything without thought of the actual consequences. Playing when one should be more serious about life. Not doing one’s work, avoiding it by doing ‘fun’ things instead. Having no friends to play with.

This Symbol can show situations where, instead of getting love and attention, the 'boy' of the Symbol gets given things to amuse himself. He's a 'chubby little rich boy', he has most of his needs met, but one wonders whether his 'parents' notice him, care about him, give him credit where credit is due, or if he just must get on with amusing himself and not bother anyone. Perhaps the family just does what it's expected to do and not much more.

This is a very strong lunar eclipse and the message to you may be about being more serious about what you're capable of, or, it may be saying that you need to get more serious about the things you really 'should' be doing. Of course this is all rather subjective and you, the reader, will have to apply what the message is to your own life. Certainly, happiness and being able to be young, carefree and able to play has gone to be part of the message.

There's lots of mental energy in the air 6/17-19. Opportunities for receiving intuitive guidance, releasing outdated concepts and benefiting from the wisdom of others are abundant!

June Planetary Forecast

The Summer Solstice occurs with the Sun crossing into Cancer on June 21st. The map of the heavens for this moment not only describes the day and the coming solar month, but also the temperament and events on the planet over the next three months. There is a strong emotional and idealistic quality to this period as there is an emphasis on the water signs (emotions and empathy); also the Sun (our essence) is closely Trine Neptune (higher vision of the truth). We will not be able to ignore the persistent demands of our higher consciousness. We will either work to live consciously, or retreat into fantasy. Everyone will embark on one or the other of these paths now.

1st – Wednesday – Sun Trine Saturn, New Moon Eclipse at 5:03 PM EDT – Long distance planning and concerted effort can bring measurable results. We are letting go of a long held belief system or a cherished thought process. This is a moment where the whole world is taking a step forward in consciousness.
2nd – Thursday – Mercury Semi-sextile Jupiter, Mercury enters Gemini – We experiment with new thoughts and ideas. Anything requiring other people’s opinions and agreement can cause abrupt changes in plans. News arrives from several directions.
3rd – Friday – Neptune turns Retrograde – While it is possible to get brilliant ideas now, our attitudes and preferences may be so far removed from common sense that we get into trouble. Check your facts and listen carefully to what is being said.
4th – Saturday – Jupiter enters Taurus, Mercury Sextile Uranus – When we act quickly on our insights we can bring about tangible results. Knowing what to ignore is a part of wisdom. Eliminating trivia creates more time for the truly important things, creating empty space leads to abundance.
5th – Sunday – Mars Semi-square Uranus, Mercury Quincunx Pluto – Don’t let pride or anger get in the way of having an enjoyable adventure. If arguments erupt then it is best to postpone deep conversation until the mood changes.
6th – Monday – Sun Semi-square Jupiter – It is possible that our expectations do not match the reality of our current situation. We are truly blessed when we take small gains and then relax.
7th – Tuesday – Mercury Trine Saturn – When we trust our sound reasoning, explaining ourselves to others, we not only enjoy the day but feel most productive. Fashion disconnected thoughts toward a common goal.
8th – Wednesday – Jupiter Sextile Neptune – We are in a time period where our past wisdom and mistakes can illuminate our current pattern of relationships. If we alter our methods and emotional inclinations we can transform our lives. Luck comes through the ability to transform.
9th – Thursday – Mars Sesquiquadrate Pluto, Venus enters Gemini, Mercury Parallel Sun – Although conversation can be good and even necessary, long standing problems will not disappear through merely airing our differences. Still, fresh insight can emerge; we are able to make some significant progress towards cherished goals by finding common ground.
10th – Friday – Venus Square Neptune, Mercury Semi-square Jupiter, Venus Semi-sextile Jupiter – Small affairs in our everyday lives can be shaken by external events. This is, however, a very fortunate day if we are able to see and use the help that comes from different and diverse but very reliable sources.
11th – Saturday – Balance and emotional depth allow us to tackle basic problems with gusto. If we are very observant we are able to pick up on other people’s feelings and intentions. This is a key time for finding new forms of intimacy.
12th – Sunday – Mercury Conjunct Sun, Venus Sextile Uranus, Saturn turns direct – An explosion of ideas and information can present us with a myriad of options. Achieving our goals is like threading a needle; it requires patience and focus.
13th – Monday – Frustration can build up if you take every block in the road as a personal affront. Be willing to take even violent interruptions as a message from the cosmos. Don’t run away from problems but we willing to take a break until the atmosphere changes for the better. A sense of humor can keep things in perspective.
14th – Tuesday – Mercury Semi-sextile Mars, Mars Sesquiquadrate Saturn, Venus Quincunx Pluto – Hard work does count for something, but it is not just raw energy and persistency that makes today work; being practical and remaining positive are the key ingredients for creating good feelings which in turn lead to right action.
15th – Wednesday – The Full Moon is a Lunar Eclipse at 4:14 PM EDT – We feel the tension between our ideals and the facts as we see them in this moment. We need to let go of all extraneous details and eliminate waste. We must let go of the things we aren’t able to complete.
16th – Thursday – Mercury enters Cancer, Mercury Trine Neptune – Powerful feelings lift us and our imagination ignites. We do best to stay on an even keel and avoid making any big changes.
17th – Friday – Mercury Sextile Jupiter, Venus Trine Saturn –
We can see more needs than we can possibly fulfill. Kind words do more than bold actions to motivate others.
18th – Saturday – Mercury Square Uranus – Defensive responses can stop a good project and make it impossible to get agreement even in the simplest things. Be still and take note of all the unusual events going on in the environment.
19th – Sunday – Mercury Opposite Pluto – We may feel that other people are stubborn and manipulating. Any real progress will require finding common ground and looking beyond our fears. Sometimes self doubt can stop us from taking on what looks like a big responsibility. Be willing to take some risks.
20th – Monday – Mars enters Gemini – Barriers dissolve if we take a different approach. Innovation brings us last minute luck. Sometimes the shortest way to the goal is found by making a 180 degree turn. Be willing to self-correct regardless of the cost.
21st – Tuesday – Sun crosses into Cancer, this is the Summer Solstice, Mercury Square Saturn – Our dreams may be quite beautiful but they are put to the test now. Careful scrutiny reveals what the price of our ambitions will be.
22nd – Wednesday – Mars Square Neptune, Sun Trine Neptune – Our faith and vision can sustain us. Nervousness can undermine our credibility. Be willing to wait for others without sacrificing values and the results will be solid.
23rd – Thursday – Sun Semi-sextile Mars – Enthusiastic bold steps can carry us forward but we need to be very careful what we promise. Be sure of your direction before you take your first step.
24th – Friday – Venus Semi-square Jupiter – We have pleasant thoughts, conversations, and activities. However, it is very easy to amplify our expectations beyond the realm of the possible…good luck and pleasantries can turn into disaster if we overindulge.
25th – Saturday – Mercury Semi-square Mars, Sun Sextile Jupiter – The big picture can be confusing and other people’s projects can misguide our energy. We are happiest if we stay with our home and family and take care of basic emotional needs.
26th – Sunday – Sun Square Uranus, Mars Semi-sextile Jupiter – We may get the feeling that other people in our lives are saying and doing unusual things just for the effect. There is a collective need to find new methods now but not at the cost of common sense or decency.
27th – Monday – Mars Sextile Uranus, Mercury Semi-sextile Venus – Love of speed and a desire for quick results can propel us forward and find us happily moving through life by ourselves. We can communicate our plans to others but we do best if we keep moving. Sometimes long explanations dissipate our energy.
28th – Tuesday – Sun Opposite Pluto, Sun Parallel Mercury, Jupiter Semi-sextile Uranus – Sometimes taking on small incremental projects can open doors to bigger gains later on. There are a few lucky breaks now but to capitalize on them may require us to do many things on our own.
29th – Wednesday – Mercury Parallel Venus, Mars Quincunx Pluto – Now is the time for team building. Take time aside for planning and listening to others. Really put extra effort into understanding the friends, family, and co-workers in your environment.
30th – Thursday – Sun Parallel Venus – This is a time for developing close emotional bonds. Take time with family and those people whom you accept as family. The world will be there tomorrow; tonight just nest.
