Solar eclipses normally occur every six months, but on occasion, two eclipses will fall practically right on top of each other and encourage you to make important life changes. And that's exactly what's about to happen!
The Universe welcomed June with a solar eclipse at the start of that month -- and the same thing is happening again in July. The cosmic purpose of an eclipse is to help you improve and develop specific aspects of your life, and since these events can involve major changes, experiencing two in a row definitely presents a challenge.
While June 1's eclipse was in Gemini and all about communication, July 1's solar eclipse occurs in home-centered Cancer, so it's no surprise that it will shine a spotlight on family issues and matters of the heart. If you can focus your energies on these areas of your life, you'll surely emerge more satisfied and fulfilled.
However, this month's eclipse is anything but ordinary: The eclipsed Sun also opposes Pluto and squares off with Aries and Saturn, so expect to feel pulled in four different directions!
How can you best handle this? For starters, don't try to tackle every problem in front of you; instead, step back and carefully assess what's manageable. Only concern yourself with issues you know you can fix, and let everything else fall away. Just keep in mind that it won't take long for things to pick up again - and once they do, you'll feel better for having accomplished what you did!

A great deal of change is coming your way, and how you handle it will depend on how comfortable you are with yourself.

The signs that will be most affected are the ones I just mentioned above and also Gemini, Sagittarius, Pisces and Virgo. But remember, you have those signs somewhere in your chart so everyone will be affected in one way or another.
This Eclipse On July 1st involves Sun, Moon, Saturn, Uranus and Pluto in a Grand Cross, thus presenting challenges. I have felt that this eclipse would be the harder one out of the summer 2011 eclipses to deal with. Six squares and 3 outer planets are involved and mark a time when we can evolve very deeply as there are many lessons to learn on a soul level. Whatever issue you are dealing with emotionally or relationship wise, is probably where the spiritual growth will rise out from.

The signs are pointing us to find deeper heart and soul connections now. We all want love and happiness. So the universe is working overtime to help show us the light. If you are in a bad relationship, it may get worse during this period. The universe is trying to show you that this is not the right type of relationship for you. Perhaps you will be forced to make a move away from the negativity. Then once you have done so, the eclipse brings in a new and wonderful relationship.

You will probably also notice during this month that you are seeking a safe and comfortable place to live, work or love.

If you do not have these things in your life, you will be fearful, blocked, have low energy and feel out of sync; almost disconnected from the world. The eclipse wants to help you to understand what is missing and what you need to let go of so you can find the happiness you seek.

For some of you, you may not feel very certain about anything right now. You may feel like you are just "out there" and not sure about where you are going or headed these days. You can't count on anything or anyone to be there. How many of you are feeling this way now? This is where the new moon/eclipse in Cancer comes in.

During a Solar Eclipse, the Moon is interrupting the energy flow from the sun to the earth. Afterward we have the chance for a consciousness with new possibilities. And even though at first, you may feel more insecure about life, love and everything in between, things are going to change for the better because of the eclipse. However, you need to allow those feelings of uncertainty to happen. Don't repress them. Allow them to manifest so you can release them and do some inner work. If you feel you need counseling at this time, this is the perfect period to do so, especially if you're working on inner child issues and relationship issues.

Then after the eclipse, we have the Full Moon in Capricorn on the 15th that gives you more clarity into your situation and you can come up with concrete ideas to make your goals a reality. You will be more emotional on the eclipse July 1st in the watery sign of Cancer and more logical on the full moon in Capricorn (earth sign). So resolution is coming.

As with any eclipses, do not judge them or allow yourself to get anxious during their visits. Once they pass and you can see what gifts and changes they want to bring you, one can better assess their true meaning and purpose. Suffice to say, it will be an interesting summer. Hang in there and look at things from s spiritual perspective. That's what all of this is about anyway. Life needs to be shaken from time to time so we can grow.
Family will be at the forefront of your attention this month. You will begin to become more aware of what relationships mean to you and how you are handling them.
On the 1st, a Solar Eclipse occurs at 9 degrees Cancer (the effects of which will be felt for six months). This signals that your individual pathway to success will depend upon your empathy and willingness to play a nurturing role with others. You will be learning about how to be emotionally responsive to others yet not take their feelings personally.
Throughout the month, there is a T-Square between three of the outer planets. Uranus in Aries is in opposition to Saturn in Libra, with both square Pluto in Capricorn. These are among the slowest-moving planets. Consequently, they have the most powerful effect.
As a result of this T-Square, you may feel quite “split” within yourself. You are becoming aware that your relationship with yourself, others, and your work are three distinct areas of your life. The challenge is to bring these areas into balance so that each is satisfied and in harmony with the others.
Among the questions you’ll likely be asking yourself while this configuration is in effect: Is my life exciting enough? Am I really doing what I want to do as opposed to giving too much weight to the relationship responsibilities I have created? What would I like to manifest in my relationships in the future?
The issue of self-identity versus relationship interaction is what is causing you to feel at odds within yourself at this time. To make matters more intense, Pluto in Capricorn squares the Aries-Libra opposition that is at the root of the conflict of self versus others. Pluto’s involvement is telling you that you need to . . . . .
