New Moon in Aries, March 22

“Pursuing Our Passion in Life”

Happy Astrological New Year – with a strong boost might. The New Moon in Aries at 2 degrees on March 22nd, 2012 emits a powerful passionate signal and is the beginning of a new turn on the astrological wheel. This new moon vibration is spicy, fiery and dynamic in many ways – literally or symbolic.
One way to look at the astrological sign of Aries is that it symbolizes “fiery trailblazing seed of light.” We must initiate something, yet we must draw upon the courage inside of us first to back up our actions properly. During the new moon, the Sun and Moon join up in a team-like energy focusing on energizing the ‘trailblazing quality.’ The Sun entered Aries on March 20th, the Vernal Equinox, and thereafter we are experiencing the energy of the New Moon in Aries. The whole week may have intensified waves of energy.
Unexpected – Disruptive – Invigorating
The New Moon in Aries is a buzz with invigorating energy as it is “conjunct” transiting Uranus in Aries. An electric buzz may be felt both in the air and within the body. We may even receive brilliant ideas or spontaneous flashes of intuition to take action.
There is also a powerful stellium of planetary energies lining up in Aries; Sun/Moon, Mercury Retrograde, Uranus in Aries. They all have a singular focus “to activate.” We may feel an incredible driven (Aries) urge to experience freedom (Uranus) to be who we want to be. To heck with conforming or fitting in! We may unexpectedly bump into or hear from people from our past. Or deal with issues that are coming up yet again so we can gain mastery. Be prepared for anything and everything since Uranus in Aries is involved with this lunar phase. Since New Moon represents “new beginnings” you can be assertive and bold to “act” upon your Intention.
Keep in mind that the New Moon in Aries, Mercury retrograde, and Uranus in Aries makes a wide “square” or tension generating aspect to transiting Pluto in Capricorn. A strong push to make things strictly business. It’s time to use this influx of energy to ‘plant seeds’ instead of burying your head in the sand in denial or repressing things. Either things will get volatile and explosive or we can be assertive, take charge, and feel empowered to transform the issue or situation long before it goes – boom! Either way the tension will make us sit up and take notice and it can be a very positive experience. We may be in the mood to set a few healthy guidelines and parameters down in both personal and business relationships to set things in motion. Integrity a must have now since we there is a tone of “no-nonsense” energy happening here.
One can normally launch or initiate new projects or plans yet this time since we are still under the symbolic influence of the Mercury and Mars retrogrades – go ahead and start things but be ready and flexible to adapt, change, or encounter some delays. It’s like driving at high-speed with one foot on the brake. It is wise to have a back up option or plan ready in the wings. Surely we can start little things, take action to line things up so when the energies are in congruent support – we act with precision and confidence.

If you need to speak up, clear up, change things up …something or some situation perhaps under the zest of this powerful New Moon in Aries, you have the courage to do so. Yet, be cautious about what you say (Mercury Retrograde) as you don’t want to have regrets and be meticulous about what the plan is (Mars Retrograde) so you don’t over-exhaust or stress yourself out with worry. The Grand Earth Trine MarsRx/Jupiter and Pluto is still happening and supportive now to keep our toes and feet upon the Earth. Helping us to stand by our values and build solid things instead of being wishy-washy or super hyper.

Full Moon in Virgo, March 8th

The Full Moon in Virgo happens at 18 degrees on March 8th, 2012.

We have the opportunity for more self-awareness and healing. We can draw upon the Inner Healer Archetype to help us with the process. Have you noticed the Inner Critic creating problems for you? Have you notice you don’t like yourself when you are overly judgmental or controlling? Where is the inner critic going “toxic” on you?
When the Inner Critic archetype is in balance it can be very helpful for us to discern what is essential and not essential in our lives. We can critique in a loving and empowered way. This is one aspect or archetype we can heal and transform under the symbolic influence of the Full Moon’s light.
This phase of the lunar cycle may represent a gentle cleanse of the emotional level. What will be brought out into the light from the shadows of our subconscious? Decode what you are ready to freely give up and let go of on an emotional and psychological level? When the With the Moon in Virgo is off-balance we can be overly fussy too creating more tension than needed. When the Moon in Virgo is in balance we may be very precise with taking care of our needs and health.
The Sun in Pisces and Moon in Virgo do not have any other major planets generating any other conflicts that the time of the full Moon . Mars still retrograde in Virgo heightens the focus upon the sign. We may feel slightly sluggish or anti-passionate about anything including our health and wellness. Or you may be feeling extra nervous tension making sure you are healthy and well. Either way, during the Full Moon in Virgo we need to tend to our day-to-day routines and wellness not just physical body but all of levels; spiritual, mental and emotional.
Since it is before the Equinox, what a wonderful time to gently “cleanse and purify” ourselves on all levels. Research and review which cleanse or detox program that will best fit your personal needs or ask a qualified holistic care practitioner or doctor.
The Virgo Full Moon calls on us to see both the differences and the similarities. While we may be drawn to classify and criticize, remembering that everything is connected—even if we can’t immediately perceive it—can yield a greater acceptance of self and others. This Full Moon provides an opportune time to heal imbalances in our physical bodies through meditation, prayer, dreamwork, and our creative imagination.

If we find ourselves called on to be of assistance, it’s important to remember that service need not equal sacrifice. To give is one thing, to give everything away is yet another. If we don’t replenish our personal ocean of inspiration, we will experience an emotional drought that will not only deplete our life force but also our ability to be of service to others.

This month’s Full Moon falls at 19 degrees of Pisces (the location of the Sun) and Virgo (the location of the Moon). While everyone experiences the energies of a Full Moon, if you have planets or pivotal points (i.e., Ascendant/Descendant or Nadir/Midheaven) around this degree in Pisces, Virgo, or the other mutable signs—Gemini and Sagittarius—it may impact you more intensely.

Solar Sign of the month-Pisces

Pisces
February 19 - March 20

  • Element: Water
  • Quality: Mutable
  • Ruling House: Twelve
  • Ruling Planets: Jupiter & Neptune

Pisces is the twelfth sign of the zodiac, and it is also the final sign in the zodiacal cycle. Hence, this sign brings together many of the characteristics of the eleven signs that have come before it. Pisces, however, are happiest keeping many of these qualities under wraps. These folks are selfless, spiritual, and very focused on their inner journey. They also place great weight on what they are feeling. Yes, feelings define Pisces, and it's not uncommon for them to feel their own burdens (and joys) as well as those of others. The intuition of the Pisces-born is highly evolved. Many people associate Pisces with dreams and secrets, and it's a fair association, since those born under this sign feel comfortable in an illusory world.

It's a pair of Fish that represents Pisces, a symbol that prompts others to suggest that these people 'go with the flow' and 'don't make waves.' Both of these labels are true, since Pisces are fluid and easy-going, in keeping with the Mutable Quality assigned to this sign. The fact that two fish (as opposed to one) represent the members of this sign also speaks to the duality of Pisces, their yin and yang sensibility. Pisces alternate between reality and non-reality in keeping with their introspective natures; their voyage between consciousness and an unconscious dream state says much about their intuitive, almost psychic natures. For this reason, Pisces can be hard to pin down, prompting some to call them the chameleons of the zodiac.

The Fish are happy to be considered hazy, since there's a certain sense of safety in that self-proclaimed netherworld. That said, they won't stay away for long, since one of their primary goals is to help others. Pisces are compassionate, charitable and will quickly put the needs of others ahead of their own. It's this kind of self-sacrifice that keeps these folks going. The flip side to their giving natures is that the oft-timid Fish are likely to be taken advantage of by less well-meaning souls.

Pisces is ruled by Jupiter and Neptune. In ancient Roman mythology, Jupiter (the original ruler of Pisces) was the king of the gods, while Neptune was the ruler of the seas. When Neptune was discovered in recent times, it was attached to this sign. The pairing of these two heavenly bodies results in some unique energies being directed toward Pisces here on Earth. Those born under this sign are spiritually oriented and charitable.

They are compassionate, easily feeling another's pain. At times, however, Pisceans can have difficulty distinguishing fact from fantasy; they tend to get caught up in their dreams and views of how things should be. To say they wear rose-colored glasses isn't much of a stretch. Pisces who fear that their pleas aren't being heard tend to lapse into melancholy and, worse, the kind of pessimism that leads to procrastination and lethargy. At times like this, Pisces would be wise to take time for themselves, the better to find their center once again. Many Pisces also immerse themselves in the arts and other creative pursuits as a centering mechanism, and they are quite talented in these areas.

The Element associated with Pisces is Water. Those born under this sign easily relate to the emotional and unpredictable nature of this liquid gold. Pisces feel a great deal, and they also feel misunderstood much of the time. They're not quite pushovers, but they're certainly sensitive. Yes, they could cry you a river if the circumstances were right. Even so, they revel in their compassionate and imaginative natures and love to cater to others. They can also be quite romantic, dreaming up delicious treats for their lover. Hopefully, any kindness will be reciprocated, because the Fish can certainly turn blue if they're not. Pisces are generally gentle, easy-going folk, who are on the shy and reticent side. They are modest to the point of impracticality, often stepping up only to show their talents in painting or music. Easiest for the Fish (and still great fun) is living in their lush dream world.
More relaxation for the Fish comes in the way of sports, specifically water sports. Pisces loves to swim, and it's this easy glide in a pool or the sea that serves to alleviate much of their stress. Once their mind is at ease, the Fish should focus on their feet, a frequent source of discomfort. Soothing comfort comes in a world colored in purple and soft white. When it comes to the game of love, Pisces are caring and romantic and a most creative mate.
The great strength of the Pisces-born is their compassionate and charitable nature. These folks love to help others and do so in the most imaginative of ways. It's their feeling sensibility that wins people over.

The Twelfth House
  • Ruling Planet: Neptune
  • Ruling Sign: Pisces
  • Governs: Karma
  • Mode: Mutable

House of Subconscious
The Twelfth House is commonly referred to as the House of the Unconscious. The unconscious state can help engender our successes, as well as assist us in coping with our failures. Success vs. failure: do we consciously confront our lives or subconsciously sweep things under the proverbial rug? This house might more aptly be called the House of Reckoning, since it is in the Twelfth that we review what we have been (and done) and decide where we go from there. Along with these unconscious musings, we also deliberate on strengths and weaknesses that are hidden from public view.
Our subconscious works hard on our behalf, trying to make sense of our lives. This shadow play is slow and long, and often fraught with fear and pain. It is in this context that we are confronted with our sorrows, suffering and the secrets we keep from ourselves and from others. Ultimately, we are also confronted with our fate: karma. Here we meet up with the results of everything we have done. This further puts the focus on repressed agendas and restraint. What have we wrought with in our lives? This is a key question of the Twelfth House, and we will deal with it both consciously and unconsciously. Will the answers compel us to be transformed or reborn? This is another cornerstone of the Twelfth House -- the manner in which we move forward.
We can learn much from the unconscious. In its most noble manifestation, we will be prompted to be charitable. If we learn our lessons, both past and present, we are also better equipped to move forward. The Twelfth House compels us to seek closure in a spiritual way as an aid to positive growth.
The last house of the zodiac also recognizes that we can feel bound in life -- stuck and confined. For this reason, this house rules jails, hospitals, institutions, asylums and any space that inhibits freedom. More gloominess in the Twelfth comes in the form of danger, secret enemies, and clandestine affairs. Beware!
While some may decry the Twelfth House as the garbage bin of the zodiac, it's really an unfair term. Ultimately, this house is the champion of positive transformations. It is here that we stand on the precipice and determine how we will proceed. By visiting the unconscious and meeting with the past, we begin to glean what the future will bring.
The Twelfth House is ruled by Pisces and the planets Jupiter and Neptune.

Forecast for March 2012

There is a mood of harmony in the atmosphere this month. This combines with a few unexpected and exciting changes throughout the month that definitely keep it exciting!
Mars in Virgo continues to travel in retrograde motion. As a result, even though there is a part of you that feels ready to take action, you may encounter obstacles that stand in your way. Plans can go a bit awry, and false starts can occur. Since this energy combines with Saturn in Libra, also retrograding throughout the month, we’ll feel pulled to reevaluate how we interact with others, while at the same time obstacles stand in the way of taking direct action on these decisions. Consequently, this is an excellent month to use the art of diplomacy to further your plans.
Through the opposition you may encounter when dealing with others (especially in the workplace), you can learn important lessons about how to change your way of interacting with people so that they will cooperate with you and support your initiatives. As you find out what works during this period, you will gain effective tools for interacting with others that you can embrace and continue to use the rest of your life.
Retrograde Mars squares the nodal axis all month, tempting us to try to get more immediate results by outtalking the other person or using logic to get him to see our points of view. One of the things we are all learning now is that timing is everything. Just as farmers have to wait patiently for the seeds they planted in the spring to bear fruit in the fall, so, too, do we have to wait for the right time to take action and for that action to bring the desired results.
Resist the impulse to give in to anger or to use excessive force to get your way this month. Instead, try to rise above difficult situations and see if your faith can provide intuitive guidance about how to reach your goal successfully.

Uranus in Aries sextiles/trines the Gemini/Sagittarius nodal axis all month. This should provide a source of tremendous ease in being yourself and in allowing the new you that Uranus in Aries is bringing forth.

           >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
On the 12th, Mercury (lord of thought) turns Retrograde, emphasizing our need to slow down and take stock of where we have already been. With all this backward movement at the time of spring, time of new beginnings, it will be easy to get confused. We are preparing for a great leap in consciousness which requires us to see everything in life from a higher perspective.
The Full Moon on the 8th at 4:39 AM EST is in Pisces/Virgo. Pisces (sign of timelessness) is strongly emphasized now with Neptune (ruler of Pisces) in its own sign; this shows our tenacity to hold on to our dreams. On the other hand, Mercury (ruler of Virgo) is in Aries (sign of immediacy) and Conjunct Uranus (god of infinite consciousness). The trick is toovercome some delusional ideas that have followed us unconsciously for many years, without discarding our higher vision of the truth. Some quick backtracking and diligent focusing on immediate basic needs carries us to solutions to problems right in front of us. However, fundamental difficulties remain unaffecteduntil we dig deeper into our hidden conflicts.
The Sun entering Aries on March 20th at 01:15 AM EDT shows the happenings for the next solar year with special emphasis on the next three months. With the Sun Conjunct Mercury (god of information) and Uranus (god of uniqueness) we can expect tremendous mental stimulation and quick and spontaneous changes of direction.
With the Moon Conjunct Neptune (god of culture) and Opposing Mars (god of war), we can expect a showdown between our ideals and our basic needs. The bottom line is that we are in for a wild ride through many twists and turns as our emotional impulses pull in one direction while our mind vibrates to a different frequency. Getting back to basic principles that we have overlooked will help us achieve real harmony and balance.
The New Moon on the 22nd at 10:37 AM EDT suggests that we are on new, uncharted territory. Every New Moon is a chance to start over; we are ending something and beginning something. The New Moon in Aries is a chance to start over in a more fundamental manner because this is the beginning of the astrological year; this is spring. However, Mars (ruler of Aries) is in Virgo (sign of analysis) and Retrograde (going backwards).
While we have great potency to move forward, we have to acknowledge where we have been and reexamine our lives. Mars in Virgo is attempting to perfect some aspect of our nature. However, Mars is Opposite and Contra-parallel Neptune (god of spiritual ideals) who is in his own sign of Pisces (sign of union). This clearly shows that our perfection can not be achieved by mere picking apart and self-criticism; it must come through inspiration and a higher vision of the truth. Retrograde Mercury (messenger of the gods) is Conjunct the New Moon which is also Conjunct Uranus (lord of infinite knowledge); this clearly shows that we are prompted to think in new ways in order to resolve our conflicts.
Mercury and Mars are in mutual reception (in the sign of each others rulership); this shows that our new thoughts will find immediate application; we have the ability to change the current equation.
