New Moon in Pisces, February 21 at 5:35 PM EST

Powerful energies encourage compassion and intuition to deal with or transcend earthly tribulations by delving into spirituality and oneness. Yet, confusion and delusion may be experienced as well. A spiritual retreat or taking personal time to meditate or contemplate can be quite healing. Send out positive vibrations for peace.

If you wish upon the New Moon (within three days before or after), you have the possibility of fulfillment by the time of the Full Moon. Pisces New Moon wishes relate to: imagination, inner happiness, psychic sensitivity, trust/mystic awareness, spiritual healing, compassion, and releasing helplessness.

A soulful release and unraveling happens at this lunation, with the energies of oceanic Neptune leading the way. The Sun and Moon meet at 2 degrees Pisces, with Neptune nearby. It's truly a divine moment to surrender, when subtle currents soften and dissolve, what's been so seemingly rigid, unresolvable. It's a New Moon for miracles!
It comes in a year when the three biggies -- Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto -- work on us and all of society, through soul deep transformation. In her book, Mysteries of the Dark Moon, Demetra George matches the three to breakup (Uranus), dissolution (Neptune) and renewal (Pluto). On Neptune, God of the Oceans, she writes it's the stage when "cleansing purification and healing occur."
She adds a bit later, "The secret gift of the second stage of transformation symbolized by the Sea God Neptune is that of compassion (a broken heart is an open heart). In order to receive it we must recognize that we can dissolve the artificial boundaries that perpetuate our sense of separateness and heal our fear of isolation by entering into the awareness of the interconnectedness of all that exists."

The Sabian Symbol of the new Moon is Pisces 3: A Petrified Forest, An Eternal Record Of A Life Lived Long Ago. This is quite an evocative Symbol; it speaks of the disposable and the precious, the old and the new and the value of retaining those things that have helped to crystallize life into a shape and form that has meaning, a sense of relevance and longevity, and something that will last into the future. Science emerges from these realms, as these records are held in nature everywhere. As with the rings on a tree, our histories are written. It also relates to issues to do with age, and, no matter how old one is, whether one has 'matured' or 'ossified'.

‘A Petrified Forest’ brings to mind fossils, insects stuck in amber and other remnants of ages past. They are ‘Records’ that have long been around to remind us of how life was in the past, the recent past and perhaps ancient times. Likewise, the achievements of life do not necessarily disappear when we move on, or go through major change or the death of the old. Things continue to exist such as records, memories, art, literature, photographs, letters, emails, etc

.

There may be a need to retrieve, sort through, or go over ‘Records’ from the past in some way. This may be the time to look to these histories or to appreciate their value and relevance to life today. However, memories from the past can freeze up life in the present and hold us in an unmovable state. Sometimes difficult or painful memories from childhoodcan inhibit and stop the processes of new growth in the present. Is the past stopping you from growth or are worries about age freezing you?

Full Moon in Leo, February 7th

The Full Moon is February 7th at 4:54 PM EST. We are at a moment in which we will eliminate that which can not be integrated. The past is really gone now and a new wave of fertile energy stimulates us to innovate. Uranus (lord of radical change) is in close hard aspect to the Sun/Mercury Conjunction which Opposes the Moon in Leo (sign of the heart). We seek union of head and heart. In our everyday lives this can manifest as a struggle with managing our responsibilities; this calls us to do some serious recalibration.
The key to the Full Moon at 18° 32′ Leo on 7 February 2012 at 04:54 PM EDT is Saturn stationing retrograde at 29° Libra. Full Moons are about opposing elements and this chart furthers that theme because the planets fall in a Seesaw Pattern with the Leo Moon, Mars in Virgo and Saturn in Libra opposing the rest. Oppositions present opportunities to learn about cooperation and compromise which fall under Libra’s aegis, and if we refuse to do either of those, what’s left is deepening polarization.
Saturn stations generally mean we will be forced to slow down and revisit the lessons it is attempting to pound into us. Saturn is currently midway through a seven week stay at 29° Libra and those lessons revolve around how we handle our one-on-one relationships: our marriages, business partnerships, life partners, therapists, and open enemies. Do you feel you have a measure of fairness and equity or is the relationship decidedly one sided? Now is the time to make an honest evaluation and choose whether to move on or stay. Unlike abrupt Uranus inspired endings which often lack real closure, Saturn can guide us through the process carefully and give both parties time to learn why this is the best choice for them. The beauty of a Saturn guided process is it often allows for real healing, making our next step forward a positive one.
Venus at 29° Pisces is exactly inconjunct Saturn and at the same time conjoins Uranus in Aries. Venus will enter Aries shortly after the Full Moon and exactly conjoin Uranus on 9 February. The need for commitment and unconditional love comes into serious conflict with a powerful desire to break all the rules and live in the moment. Let’s just say jumping into what looks like a red hot romance may not be the best idea . . . more like a major disaster, especially if you already have someone special in your life.
Between Mercury conjoining the Sun in airy Aquarius and Mars in Mercury ruled Virgo aspecting both the Sun and Leo Moon; the Full Moon has a very mental tone. The downside is the aspects between Mars and the luminaries are rather irritating – a semi-sextile to the Moon and an inconjunct to the Sun-Mercury. Let’s just say there could be lots of loud discussions with plenty of drama and all parties convinced they are right! The devil will be in the details . . . which Mars in Virgo will insist on making sure everyone knows about. If you want to enjoy get-togethers with your friends and family, better set up some ground rules in advance.
Neptune, newly arrived in Pisces, finds Jupiter in Taurus still within speaking distance. Whilst this aspect will gradually fade over the next week or so, it will still inspire tangible gestures of caring and generosity. Do things like give your loved ones plenty of hugs and kisses or go for long walks hand-in-hand. Quality “face” time is what is called for, not phone calls, texts or facebook messages. Chiron in Pisces is a part of this equation as it is also sextile Jupiter in Taurus, and the reason I feel making amends of any kind requires being physically present. It’s a whole lot harder to apologize in person, isn’t it?

Between Saturn at a standstill and fixed signs dominating this Leo Full Moon, I don’t see a whole lot of movement. The best option may be to let go of the need to push our agendas and call a temporary halt. People are just too entrenched right now to see any side but their own. Review your options and work on treating others with kindness, tolerance, and patience for now.

Leo is a fixed sign, known for bringing an idea to ripe fruition, ambition, and big, sustained creative efforts. Leo is an fire sign that is bright, impulsive, and enthusiastic.

Full Moon in Leo: emerging from family inheritance to reach potential as unique self; a strong will; extroversion; celebrations; radiating confidence; warmed from within; reveling in life's color; outgoing side and loyalty in friendship, creative fires; play -- hobbies, games, everything that's just for fun.
This Full Moon illuminates: burning desires; urge to make a mark; artistic longings; the thrill of a romance; who has your heart; the pure play of children; your natural enthusiasms.

It's a Good Time to:
·         Cheer yourself up, in perhaps a new way.
·         Celebrate, play, party with friends that encourage you to be your most over-the-top self.
·         Give the artist within a signal that you're "serious" about self-expression.
·         Get away from melodrama, by finding a medium through which to express life's grand drama.
·         Surround yourself with colors that lift your spirits.
·         Show some playful affection to a friend.
·         Kindle the romance in your life.
·         Take pride in your appearance.
·         Promote yourself and your ideas in a new way.

February Planetary Forecast

Throughout February 2012 we are laying the foundation for a great leap in consciousness. After a fiery January we will find peace now even though there is much going on behind the scenes. On the 3rd, Neptune (planet of culture) enters Pisces to stay. As the month unfolds, other planets will ground this new energy creating a vision of a better world. Saturn turning Retrograde on the 7th adds to the inward focusing of energy. With both Mars (god of action) and Saturn (lord of karma) Retrograde we are evaluating the cause and effect of our past actions. Each of us is preparing to be of use in the new world we are creating. Near the end of the month (the 25th) we have the Sun and Mercury in Pisces connecting with Jupiter in Taurus which can be a deep aid in contacting past life memories. This sets the stage for a deep reevaluation of your life and purpose.

1st – Wednesday – Mercury Sesquiquadrate Mars, Mercury Semi-sextile Pluto, Venus Opposite Mars – We can try to reason our way through uncomfortable feelings seemingly created by shifting circumstances. However, when we understand that the urge to get it right has been carried too far, we naturally gravitate back toward balance.
2nd – Thursday –Versatility and changes in attitude keep us running in circles if we aren’t committed to a clear direction. Using other people as a sounding board may or may not give us clarity. Be careful to select people you can really trust if you are going to examine your personal circumstances.
3rd – Friday – Mercury Parallel Pluto, Neptune enters Pisces – The shore recedes in the distance and we are clearly on our way to a new destination. The world is transforming around us and we feel the need to be very thorough in our approach to our new life. Avoidance is a poor option so stay involved with the details of life.
4th – Saturday – Our feelings are soft; this is a good day to fix the emotional backbone of any relationship needing repair. Be careful that you don’t over-react to other people’s erratic behavior.
5th – Sunday – Talk to people about your feelings; don’t be afraid to say what is really on your mind. Something new can emerge in the process of exploring the emotional bonds with another. The truth can be shocking.
6th – Monday – Sun Semi-square Uranus, Mercury Semi-square Uranus – New information may not be all that helpful, but expanding our horizons is generally a good thing anyway. Be calm if others don’t seem so keen on your insights. Friends and family are tense; there is a lot of insecurity around recent events.
7th – Tuesday – Sun Conjunct Mercury, Saturn turns Retrograde, Venus Quincunx Saturn, the Full Moon – Even though there is a feeling of urgency and we are tempted to throw ourselves into action, the path forward seems uncertain and it is not so clear as to what exactly we should do. Be patient; watch, wait, and plan.
8th – Wednesday – Venus enters Aries, Venus Semi-sextile Neptune, Venus Contra-parallel Uranus – We seek harmony in a counterintuitive manner. Be sure that you can stay in contact with your inner being while reaching out to others.
9th – Thursday – Mercury Quincunx Mars, Venus Parallel Uranus, Venus Conjunct Uranus – Our feelings change abruptly…we are apt to notice people in our environment that have been around for a while without being in our line of vision. Self improvement is the motif that brings a feeling of satisfaction.
10th – Friday – Sun Quincunx Mars, Mercury Semi-square Pluto – Frustration can be overwhelming if we are in a hurry and feel a compulsion to act. It’s best to examine circumstances, talk to natural allies, and wait for more information.
11th – Saturday – Jupiter Contra-parallel Neptune, Venus Semi-sextile Jupiter – You know, the big danger today is that when great expectations don’t materialize that we will miss the wonderful gift that is being offered up to each of us. This is a wonderful day, just very different from what we had been anticipating.
12th – Sunday – Sun Semi-sextile Pluto – Integration of our heart contents and thought process seems to be an unachievable goal. Innovative impulses have to find a practical expression or otherwise be “tabled” for a while. We are missing important data now; we see some things without being able to understand their true importance. We will be able to accomplish so much during the next two days; timing is everything now.
13th – Monday – Sun Parallel Mercury, Mercury Trine Saturn, Mercury enters Pisces – If you feel confused, you are not paying attention; today is a real mental workout. Either learn from seeing the immediate results of what you do, or manifest your dream through effort. This is the time to will one thing with all your might and then be consistent and patient.
14th – Tuesday – Mercury Conjunct Neptune – Life can seem very uncertain and it is hard to hold consistent thoughts unless you have a serious spiritual practice. This is a beautiful day to meditate and concentrate personal energy on your true heart’s desire.
15th – Wednesday – Mercury Semi-sextile Uranus, Mercury Contra-parallel Jupiter, Venus Square Pluto, Mercury Parallel Neptune, Mars Sesquiquadrate Jupiter – So many distinctions seem to collapse, it is hard to grasp definition. The last two weeks have been so transformative that we have not kept up with our own changes. Relax; mental numbness is momentary.
16th – Thursday – Mercury Sextile Jupiter – See the truth, tell the truth, and listen intensely to your own internal process. So much information emerges from somewhere deep within your own heart, listen.
17th – Friday – Sun Contra-parallel Jupiter – We are looking for the middle path as we try to combine many different sources of information. There is real opportunity now; don’t be afraid to act but also don’t be in any great hurry. Take one step at a time but keep moving.
18th – Saturday – Sun Parallel Neptune, Sun Trine Saturn, Mercury Sextile Pluto – Remember what you are doing. It is fine to stop and help others, but keep your eye on your ultimate goal. Important information arrives and allows us to complete some long standing project.
19th – Sunday – Sun enters Pisces, Mercury Parallel Saturn, Sun Conjunct Neptune, Mercury Contra-parallel Mars – Regardless of the confusion, we are able to bring our thoughts forward and connect with the most important people in our lives. Even though others can be a little irritable we can accomplish a lot if we stay calm.
20th – Monday – Spirits are bright and we are in an innovative mood. We may feel something calling us from far away, this is our muse. Create something of beauty and share it.
21st – Tuesday – Venus Semi-square Neptune, Mercury Sesquiquadrate Saturn, the New Moon, Sun Semi-sextile Uranus, Mercury Contra-parallel Venus - This may seem like a very long day as we see some things that we can’t actually get; this is frustrating only if we have unrealistic expectations. Take note of what isn’t working and then be willing to start over.
22nd – Wednesday – Mars Contra-parallel Saturn, Venus Sesquiquadrate Mars – It’s ok to work hard but be certain that you are being productive at some level. There are some problems that we can see now without being able to get closure. God answers every pray but sometimes the answer is “No!”
23rd – Thursday – Mercury Opposite Mars, Mercury Semi-sextile Venus – Don’t take resistance personally. Matter of fact, do your best to overcome all feelings of being diminished by criticism; seen correctly, negative words are really veiled help coming from the Divine.
24th – Friday – Explosive energy drives us toward immediate action…look and observe before acting. Is this what you really want to be doing? It is easy to make a change now, just be sure it is the right one.
25th – Saturday – Sun Sextile Jupiter, Sun Contra-parallel Mars, Mercury Semi-square Jupiter, Venus Contra-parallel Saturn – Seize the opportunity to expand your sphere of influence now. Don’t be afraid of commitment, the benefits outweigh the difficulties. This is a golden time for meeting new people and bringing about a genuine understanding.
26th – Sunday – Sun Contra-parallel Venus, Sun Parallel Saturn – We are in some kind of negotiation now. Things that we have done in the spirit of love will bring us a fertile reward now, which is more love. Actions bring responsibility; we are building new attributes into the core of our personality.
27th – Monday – Venus Parallel Mars – Our passions are stirred but it is hard to express what is inside with any coherence or practical meaning. Rather than just getting involved in external entanglements that will not satisfy us, it is best to use this time to create harmony between our internal inconsistencies.
28th – Tuesday – Sun Sextile Pluto – We have the opportunity to clarify, rectify, and transform our higher aspirations. We find law and will creating the context of our lives. This is a time of being able to take a great leap forward.
29th – Wednesday – Mercury Contra-parallel Uranus – We have reached a turning point. Being able to try something new without falling into impulsive iconoclastic behavior is a great virtue. We have our own lives and projects, but take time to help others and be charitable with your colleague’s shortcomings.
